The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force from 25 May 2018 and it will affect every business that holds data on their prospects and customers.
It is perceived as a compliance issue, to do with data and IT systems so compliance in most businesses has been handed to someone technical.
The reality is that for smaller businesses this is a survival issue. Without the ability to generate business from your database, you won’t survive and GDPR could be putting your ability to generate new business at threat.
