Oli Christie set up Neon Play in June 2010. Since then, Neon Play has had over 55 million iPhone/iPad game downloads and ten number one games in 160 countries. Neon Play’s hits include Paper Glider, Flick Football and Traffic Panic.
Oli has won over 25 games awards in his career and Neon Play has won 17 business awards in the last two years, including the UK’s Best Start-up. Oli was also voted as Entrepreneur of the Year and The Sun called him a ‘Small Business Hero’.
Neon Play also recently became the UK’s first mobile games studio to win a prestigious Queen’s Award for Innovation. They have been rated as the number one independent mobile games developer in the UK.
Oli is on the board of TIGA, the UK games association and last year spoke to MPs in the House of Commons about introducing the new games tax break; and to Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace about skills shortages in the UK. He has recently started a campaign called Rock the Cotswolds, to champion the cool, innovative, creative and different that happens in the Cotswolds.
What I've learned starting Neon Play
A fun, informal and informative talk about Oli's background, how he started Neon Play and how important a company's culture is to a business's success.
