Doctor Surja Datta
Surja Datta received his doctorate from Bristol Business School, University of the West of England.
Surja also holds an MBA from Strathclyde University and an MA in Applied Social Research from the University of the West of England. Currently working as Senior Lecturer in the Business School of Oxford Brookes University, Surja leads the ‘Global Strategy and Innovation’ core module in the university’s Global MBA Programme which is ranked 5th in the world (QS Distance Online MBA Rankings 2016). Surja also leads couple of undergraduate modules that are focused on international business, trade, and regionalism including the European Union.
Surja's research interests include innovation and outsourcing. He has earlier been involved in a European Commission project under Framework Programme Six that developed business and innovation models for environment monitoring services in Europe. His current research is focused on understanding innovative capacity in developing nations on which he collaborates with other academics across UK and India.
